The Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS) Group of Goldman Sachs sits within the Investment Management Division and provides investors with diversified and customised portfolio solutions in addition to a range of advisory services.
AIMS includes Hedge Fund Strategies, Global Manager Strategies, the Private Equity Group and the Real Estate Investment Group, which are split across a number of teams including the Investment, Client Portfolio Solutions and Risk Management & Analytics Teams. As investors seek different ways to generate alpha and diversify risk, demand for innovative strategies has increased. With over 250 professionals around the world drawing on Goldman Sachs’ global sourcing network, due diligence capabilities, risk management expertise, and extensive manager relationships, the AIMS Group sources, evaluates, and invests in managers across traditional long-only, hedge fund, real estate and private equity strategies.
We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices, for which we invest or advise on over $100 billion of alternative investments and traditional long-only managers.
